I was watching the presidential debate last night and Mike Huckabee was talking about how he was going to make sure we found a cure for cancer, diabetes, and other diseases if he was elected president. While I respect this view, I shake my head at the way the world thinks. When is our view going to change, when are people going to realize that our $$ and efforts should shift from finding cures to preventing diseases in the first place. We need to figure out why so many people are getting cancer and autoimmune diseases, like diabetes, m.s., fibromyalgia, crohns, alzheimers, ALS, etc.
If we could prevent the disease from the get go, then 100% of people would be cured!!
